Jolene is originally from the west side of Shetland and now lives in the picturesque village of Scalloway. She did a degree in International Management in Edinburgh and Sweden. She loves to travel and has spent a lot of time in other countries. It was during her travels that she truly came to appreciate all the wonderful aspects of Shetland life.
Robin is originally from Unst but brought up in Bressay from age four. When he left school there was very little work in Shetland so went to work on the Scottish mainland for sixteen years returning to Shetland early in the oil era. Back in Shetland he mainly worked as an engineer on the Sullom Voe tug boats. He has always been interested in wildlife especially sea birds. He completed the Green Badge Guide Course in 1999.
Paula is originally from South Africa but moved to Shetland 12 years ago. She qualified as a Green Badge Guide last year and has loved her first year as a tourist guide, so much so that she wanted to get behind the scenes. She has a strong background in hospitality and admin and is very much a wildlife enthusiast, enjoys photography and is a great ambassador amongst the guides.
Anya Cheatle was born in Shetland but lived on the mainland for a few years before moving back to Shetland in 2013. She has a degree in German and Psychology. She will do the training this winter to become a Green Badge guide so we will be making good use of her German language skills next summer on tour. She is very passionate about Shetland and loves getting out for walks on the beaches.
